The Harrogate District Community Safety Partnership is currently running its Spring crime prevention initiative. With crime levels continuing to remain low across the district, the focus is to maintain this and to encourage local residents to take some simple steps so that they are not a victim of crime and specifically not a victim of burglary.
We are continuing the 'Billy the Burglar' theme for our campaign which encourages people to think like a burglar, what would a burglar like and what would they dislike. By understanding what burglars look for in their target you will be able to identify any weak spots in your home's security.
The Community Safety Partnership currently has a STOP Anti-Social Behaviour campaign operating.

In order for the Harrogate District Community Safety Partnership to assess its performance in making the Harrogate District safer, every month data is collected and analysed on a range of crimes.Below are the figures from the Home Office for Reported Crimes from 2011/12 and 2012/13 year-to-date.
From the figures reported above, the Partnership has the capability of allocating resources into crimes which are increasing. The figures also allow the Partnership to monitor if targets are been met, which are set by the Home Office, Government for Yorkshire and the Humber and the Partnership.
